Finance

The Clerk of Easton Royal is also the RFO (Responsible Finance Officer). All annual accounts are available on the subpages of this section.

After March 31st, the RFO finalises the end-of-year accounts and prepares for the external audit and public inspection. This is called the Annual Governance and Accountability Return (AGAR).

In England, if the council's annual turnover is below £25,000, it must comply with the Transparency Code for Smaller Authorities and publish the Annual Return and other documents on a website. Such councils may be able to certify themselves as exempt from external Audit. Should the annual income or expenditure exceed £25,000, an annual return with supporting documents is completed to be reviewed by the external auditor.
